Training Board
We take pride in horses that thrive.
Fortunata Farm is located on 100 acres in Hamilton, Georgia. Our facility offers a large riding ring (with lights) , Dalman Jump Co. hunter course , small grass dressage area (with lights), round pen, trails, and cross country jumps for schooling. The 20 stall barn includes optional run outs on 10 stalls, two hot & cold wash racks, tack lockers, full bathroom, washer/dryer, refrigerator/microwave, tack room, office, lounge, and ringside viewing area. Professional trainer and groom on site. Emergency services and transport available for all horses on property.
We provide high quality nutrition to our horses by feeding Tribute Nutrition products and Orchard, Orchard/Alfalfa blend hay. Each stall is equipped with a metal caged fan for summer use. Each wash rack is equipped with a heater for use during the winter.
Our pastures are fenced with a mix of wood and electric fencing containing 10 acres of pasture. The pastures are fertilized and seeded with rye grass each year before the winter season. New horses spend time in our quarantine area before joining our herd. The horses are turned out daily in small groups, either all night or all day depending on season.
Training programs are designed for each individual horse and/or rider pair. Our training board price includes access to all of our lessons with our head trainer, as well as a custom riding and training schedule for pro rides. This allows all riders and horses to get as much training as they desire, or have time for, for the same price. We believe all horses can benefit from proper flatwork and consistency and incorporate this into each training ride. We offer 30-90 day tune ups, pony starting, young horse programs, as well as catering to riders with horses that stay in the training and show program year- round.
We work with talented professionals that help maintain our horses. Our vet is Dr. Rachel Burlson and Valley Veterinary in Pine Mountain, Georgia. Our farrier is Charlie Oubre out of LaGrange, Georgia. Our dentist is Dr. Tyler Dees- Trojan Equine Services from Birmingham, Alabama. FF manages each horse's routine services as well as any medical needs that arise when owning a horse.
